HOW DO i BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
The ideal way to check availability is through our Square Appointment site. There are several red buttons throughout the site or you can follow this link https://squareup.com/appointments/book/6KNBKVPS4XX89/major-laser-removal. If a day or a time is not available for booking, give us a call at 719.64.LASER and we would be delighted to try and accommodate.
How much will it cost?
One of the reasons we started Major Laser Removal is because when we looked for these services ourselves, it was complicated to even get an answer to this question: traditional companies have "pricing managers" and "financing consultants." Our prices are labeled at a per session basis, we usually recommend treatments in sets of 3 initially so that substantial results can be observed. Since all skin reacts differently, treatment length varies from person to person, which means overall end cost will vary. We strive to be straightforward in our initial estimates so you know what to expect.
Does it hurt?
We will take every precaution to be sure you have a comfortable experience before and after your treatments. IPL can be uncomfortable but never 'painful.' Tattoo removal is a more aggressive treatment but the worst of it only lasts a couple of minutes. We will guide you upon booking with pre-care and post-care instructions for optimal comfort and healing.

Can i finance my treatments?
One of the reasons why we started Major Laser Removal is because when we inquired about removal services, it felt like we couldn't get treatment options or pricing before we qualified for thousands in financing. We believe it should be as simple as a hair cut to get the services you need which is why we only ask our customers to pay as they are treated, not up front or financed. Since most of the treatments are weeks apart, your overall cost is broken up at a pace you set, interest and hassle free.
Why choose Major laser removal over a doctor's clinic?
Major Laser Removal uses the same Quanta technology as many doctors, clinics, hospitals and plastic surgeons. Our staff is trained, insured, and oversight from a licensed medical doctor. For the treatments we offer, the quality of the treatment is equal to what a traditional medical office could provide. On the same hand, if the treatment is beyond of our scope of services, we will not treat it, and will refer you to your primary care physician for options. Because we run a lean business, what you pay go towards quality treatments not a large staff, office building, or advertising.
why are you cheaper than my doctor or other clinics?
We established Major Laser Removal with the consumer in mind. We run with a relatively low overhead so that what you pay is going towards great treatment, not a fancy medical building, two receptionists, and two or three billing/finance specialists. We aim to provide a cutting edge treatment at a rate that Coloradoans can afford.
While you may encounter facilities that advertise treatments cheaper than ours, keep in mind that those competitors may not have the same technology or are counting on putting you into excessive treatment plans or hidden upgrades.

Will i find a better deal on a "daily deals" site?
Daily Deal sites are a billion dollar industry because they are really good at marketing! If you look at what’s entailed in a daily deals site it’s usually minimal, limited, and generalized, unlike our company culture. We realize that a lot of people in Colorado Springs use sites like Groupon or AmazonLocal to uncover savings. We believe our promotional pricing gives customers the most personalized and complete solution while keeping your money local which is why we would advise you to consult with us for the most comprehensive and personal treatment. As a startup and for maximum exposure, some of our services may appear on a daily deals site, but know that regardless of where a customer finds out about us, they will receive the same great experience and quality of treatment.
Why buy local?
We wanted to provide a family owned removal service in Colorado Springs because we truly believe that local businesses provide the biggest value to the community. During the recession in the last decade, we dedicated our family to frequent more local businesses; we assumed that we would pay more for a less than perfect product. What we found, however, was that while national corporations had the marketing, many times the upsells and hidden fees ended up costing more. With local businesses we were happy to support neighbors and community members who are providing a service to the community while the profits stay in the community as opposed to a corporate office. Family owned, community businesses depend on local clientele frequenting and referring their services and their level of service reflected that.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept all major credit/debit cards Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Cash is accepted. You can pre-pay for appointments from the booking website, or pay in the shop at the time of your appointment. We do accept Apple Pay and NFC payments in person.
Checks are never accepted. There are many banks nearby, and an ATM in the gas station across the parking lot.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
The hardest question we are asked is "how many sessions will I need." It's hard to answer because though our lasers are easy to predict, it's virtually impossible to predict how each individual's body will respond. Genetics, body location of treatment, smoking status, and other factors add variables to your treatment that can make it hard to predict. Our goal is to finish your treatments as soon as possible with as little discomfort as possible.
What is IPL?
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. IPL hair removal is often synonymous with laser hair removal, though similar, IPL is not a true laser. IPL works by emitting a light (frequency) through a filter that targets pigments in the skin. When a specific frequency filter is used, IPL can target unwanted hair by sending the correct frequency down the hair shaft to destroy the follicle. IPL treatments can only be used on skin tones that fall between 1-4 on the Fitzpatrick Scale.
How long do I need to grow out my hair before hair removal treatment?
One of the largest misconceptions with hair removal is that hair needs to be grown out for IPL hair removal. Our device is most effective when there is only stubble to be treated, which means we recommend customers shave (not wax or tweeze) 24-48 hours prior to your appointment.
how will my hair respond to my first treatment?
Your first treatment will always be the most conservative, we do this as a safety precaution prescribed by our medical director, Dr. Aubrey Copeland. We start at the lowest effective setting with a spot treatment, we then wait a few minutes for immediate positive clinical side effects. We will then slightly adjust (if necessary) and continue with that conservative yet effective setting for the duration of your treatment. In subsequent treatments, intensity may increase to fully encompass and target the entire variety of your unwanted hair.
Can I bring my friends, Family, children to a treatment?
To optimize safety for all patients, we cannot allow additional people in the treatment room during treatment. Friends, guests, and children are able to wait outside our door. Most treatments last less than a half hour and we usually will set expectations for how long your appointment will last when you book.
What is the fitzpatrick Scale?
The Fitzpatrick Scale is a scale developed to categorize skin tones from fairest to darkest. Typically the lower a skin falls on the scale the quicker/better the skin will respond to laser treatments. We keep the chart on site, but a quick Google Image search of "Fitzpatrick Scale" will give you a good idea of where your skin falls on the scale.
